“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” – Aristotle
Renewal by Andersen® believes that overall window performance is key to long-lasting, beautiful, and energy-efficient windows. Instead of developing only one advanced material, we make sure that every component st ands out on its own and contribute to overall performance.
Glass
We offer three types of glass packages that offer benefits in terms of visible light transfer, UV protection, heating, and cooling:
- High-Performance™ Low-E4® – This is our basic offering for our windows in St. Louis. This is 45% more efficient in winter and 56% more efficient during summer compared with ordinary dual-pane windows. This means you can save up to 25% in energy bills. This glass can also block up to 83% of harmful UV rays that cause furniture fading.
- High-Performance Low-E4 SmartSun™ – This is our most energy-efficient glass package available. It is 47% more efficient during cold months and 70% more efficient during warm seasons. It can block heat while letting in as much natural daylight compared with clear glass. You can choose this glass for both windows and patio doors in St. Louis.
- High-Performance Low-E4 Sun – You can choose this option to reduce glare or visible light. This glass option also keeps your home cooler during warm weather.
To make your windows more energy-efficient, they come with double glazing, spacers, dual seals, and gas fillers.
Framing Material
Energy-efficient glass should be built into a strong framing material for durability. We use our own composite Fibrex® frames for our windows. They require little maintenance and have high insulating properties. The material will also not rot, peel, crack, or corrode.
Fibrex is also an eco-friendly material that prevents off-gassing, which can lead to poor indoor air quality. Through our environmental efforts, our parent company Andersen Corporation received the Indoor Advantage Gold™ Certification from the Scientific Certification Systems.
Installation
A high-performing window will not function well without proper installation. That’s why Renewal by Andersen of St. Louis follows a systematic process when it comes to your windows.
