A lot of things must be considered when tackling window replacement. Apart from the frame material and the glass that comes with the product, you should also take its warranty into account.
Why Are Warranties Important?
A product’s warranty safeguards you from unexpected costs if there’s something wrong with it. Replacement windows are a big investment so it makes sense that you should take measures that protect you from things out of your control, such as manufacturer defects and improper installation. A warranty guarantees peace of mind, but it pays that you read whatever’s written on it so you are aware of what is covered and what is not.
Our Warranty
At Renewal by Andersen®, we stand behind our wide range of windows and doors, and they are warranted under a fully transferable limited warranty. As long as it is still in effect, its full coverage can be transferred from owner to owner.
Our warranty covers parts, labor and original installation services. This includes a 20-year limited warranty for Fibrex® and glass, a 10-year limited warranty for the window’s non-glass components like the frame, sash and locking mechanism, and a 2-year limited warranty on installation.
Fibrex, which is Renewal by Andersen’s exclusive window frame material, is guaranteed not to flake, rust, blister, peel, crack, pit, corrode or rot under normal use. Insulated glass, meanwhile, is guaranteed not to develop problems that hinder the view or leaks in the organic seal under normal conditions and use.
