As a respected company in the home remodeling industry, Renewal by Andersen® is committed to helping reduce the environmental impact of homes. Our installers have replaced the windows in more than 600,000 homes, and we are not slowing down. As a result, the homes that have our windows are enjoying the benefits of our environmental commitment.
Renewing Existing Housing
Did you know that the average American home has more carbon emissions than the average automobile? By improving the energy efficiency of many homes with our windows, we help make neighborhoods more livable and also keep older homes habitable for a longer time.
Indoor Air Quality
Renewal by Andersen and our parent company, Andersen® Corporation, are the only window companies that have the honor of receiving the Indoor Advantage Gold™ certification from the Scientific Certification Systems (SCS). This is a certification known for being the strictest standard in air emission in the U.S. It also meets the California Section 01350 Specifications.
As most people spend up to 90% of their lives indoors, poor indoor air quality caused by off-gassing (when building materials release toxins) can cause health problems, not to mention affect the environment. Renewal by Andersen replacement windows are designed to improve indoor air quality as our products are responsibly manufactured so they are not like other products that release toxins for years after installation.
Smart Use of Materials
Our proprietary Fibrex® material is what we use to manufacture our frames and sashes. Fibrex contains up to 40% reclaimed wood fiber by weight. Most of this wood is from the wood window manufacturing facilities of Andersen Corporation. Fibrex combines the best qualities of wood and vinyl, but eliminates their weaknesses, such as cracking, rotting, corroding and bowing.
High-Performance™ Low-E4® glass comes standard with our windows and doors. This glass is coated with a special formula that reduces up to 99% of water spots when activated by sunlight. It also blocks harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays and reduces noise penetration.
Smart Use of Energy
Our products help reduce your heating costs by up to 25%. If you upgrade to our SmartSun™ glass, you can expect up to 70% more energy efficiency in summer and up to 45% more energy efficiency in winter when compared to regular dual-pane glass windows.
Long Product Life Cycles
Did you know that a huge portion of the waste that occupies landfills is construction waste? Renewal by Andersen manufactures windows that are built to last, and this helps reduce the construction waste that finds its way into the country’s landfills. Our long-lasting products also come with some of the strongest warranties you’ll ever find in the industry.
